OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Let's get your Life Back!
What is Occupational Therapy?
The dictionary meaning of ‘Occupational Therapy’ is therapy based on engagement in meaningful activities of daily life (such as self-care skills, education, work, or social interaction) especially to enable or encourage participation in such activities despite impairments or limitations in physical or mental functioning.
Occupational Therapy is Rehabilitation Science where the professional/ Occupational Therapist helps people across all age groups to live their life to fullest, promote health and prevent or live better with injury, illness or disability by providing therapeutic exercises and interventions. The exercise program is customized according to the individual, his/her condition to make them functionally independent as possible with what they love to do or want to do in life.
Occupational Therapists work with patients suffering from orthopedic, neurological, mental health or cognitive issues, assess and evaluate them, understand if they want to develop, recover or maintain their health status, customize exercises and interventions according to their needs, focus on identifying and eliminating or modifying the environmental barriers to make them as independent as possible and perform their activities of daily living.
What do we do at Care & Cure Clinic?
It’s simple! We help you get back to the life you want!
We, at Care & Cure Clinic provide Occupational therapy to help people from all age groups with injury, illness or disability to recover, get better, learn or re-learn to perform everyday activities. It may be getting back to walking after a knee or hip replacement surgery or include activities like getting dressed after a stroke. For children, it could include playing, learning or socializing. We work for your physical abilities, like which parts of your body can or can’t move easily. We work for your mental abilities, like what your brain can and can’t process. We understand your physical and mental health and think about your environment, where you live, work, go to school and how to make it accessible for you and perform your tasks as independently as possible.
Our treatments have meaning, they focus on what you want and need to do. We help you achieve your goals and make you as functional and independent as possible to perform them.
